Título
Validation of an Institutional Physiotherapy Protocol for Patients Undergoing CAR-T Cell Therapy at a Cancer Center
Introdução
The impact of CAR-T therapy on patients' physical conditioning has not yet been fully established. In this context, assessing the physical conditioning of patients can provide important insights into treatment tolerance and recovery. Additionally, exercise is associated with numerous benefits. However, as this is a new treatment, many uncertainties regarding exercise prescription remain among professionals.
Objetivo
To identify which assessments by the physiotherapy team can be applied to patients undergoing CAR-T therapy and, consequently, to develop an institutional clinical physiotherapy protocol tailored to the needs of patients who have undergone CAR-T therapy.
Métodos
This study was approved by the Ethics Committee, approval number 6.880.619. The validation of the institutional protocol will be conducted using the Delphi technique, which consists of three rounds of self-administered questionnaires via email. The goal is to develop expert judgment from specialists in oncohematology (multidisciplinary team) on an epistemic issue, provide individual and/or group feedback between rounds, and finally summarize the findings. The degree of agreement among the expert judges will be calculated using the Content Validity Index (CVI). To verify the overall content validity, some authors suggest a minimum agreement of 0.80, a target that will also be used in this study.
